Simeon Russell has more than 21 years’ experience working with children and families. He's worked in Head Start within Head Start for nine years; he's been the Executive Officer of the Maryland Head Start Association since 2016 and served Southern Maryland Tri-County Community Action Committee, Inc. for six years; three years as the Head Start Director and three years as the Social Services/Parent Involvement Specialist. Simeon founded the Southern Maryland H.E.A.T Athletic Program in 2009 and has served as the President since the organization's inception. He led the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland (BGCSM) Charles County Unit for three years as the Unit Director. Prior to BGCSM, he spent eight years serving in senior and program level positions. Those positions include senior youth counselor, case manager, and residential assistant. Simeon holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Frostburg State University, a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from the State University of New York - Empire State College, and an Associate degree in Legal Studies from the Junior College of Albany.
