I began my early care and education career in 1993 with Baltimore County Head Start. That was the beginning of my life's work -- to ensure all children are provided a quality early care and education experience. I've worked in traditional Head Start and Head Start - Child Care Collaboration Model. I currently work in the Division of Early Childhood Development at the Maryland State Department of Education as the Maryland Accreditation Specialist. In this role I have the opportunity to impact the lives of early childhood educators, children and families. I am appreciative of this opportunity and do not take it for granted. My motto is "Quality happens every day in every classroom!" Early Childhood Educators must be intentional and passionate about what they do every day. They must be committed to voicing the importance of what they do and representing the profession in excellence. My commitment to professional development, education, and best practices is a major influence in my career and my goal is to assist other Early Childhood Educators to develop and maintain a commitment to early childhood.
